John Tesh Live at Red Rocks and on the World Wide Web

http://bazaar.com/Tesh

John Tesh live at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, featuring a unique bold and delightful music of composer/musician John Tesh is now online via the World Wide Web. The spectacular concert was taped live in August 1994 at the majestic 250 million year old outdoor Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado and is recreated here on the Internet. The four time Emmy Award-winning Tesh performs with conductor John Bisharat and the 70-piece Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The concert features Tesh playing grand piano, Charlie Bisharat playing electric violin and Everette Harp playing alto saxophone. Aso featured are Olympic gold medal gymnasts Nadia Comaneci (1976) and Bart Conner (1984) performing gymnastic routines specially choreographed to Tesh's music.

Set against a backdrop of sheer rock walls, the concert is Tesh's personal tribute to sports and is accented by a stunning array of lights, pyrotechnics and special effects. The crowd of all ages appears enhanced by their surroundings as the wind ruffles the performers hair under the full moon. Couples dance to an enchanting tune as Tesh dedicateds the performance of *Concetta* to his wife, Connie Selleca, who sits in the audience with their infant daughter.

Your visit to Red Rocks will give you full access to the show and even allow you to go backstage. You can see video clips, hear audio tracks or get information on the performers and Red Rocks itself. You can also sample the rest of the John Tesh catalog and enter the lobby to chat with others about their experience at Red Rocks. It also has been rumored that John himself has been spotted in the Lobby. I'll admit that I am not a Tesh fan (although some of his pieces are quite good) but even if you are not a John Tesh fan the site itself and the technological aspects of presenting this web page should keep you busy and happy for a long time. Worth the visit - now this is what web page exhibits should all be like!

King Of All Media Fans' Page

I wasn't sure where to put this listing but since he is the "King of All Media" I guess he can go anywhere in BIGSURF. Actually I thought that Howard Stern fans would get around to this music section eventually and find the web page here. In any case, this web site is a blast and a half. Great Stern stuff here including outrageous sound clips from his shows. This site is a work in progress and keeps getting better. If you're not a Stern fan - stay away! Check it out if you're interested and let me know what you think. This page is Netscape specific, so you'll need to use Netscape 1.1 to view it properly, but I assume we're all using that anyway. I spent a major chunk of my time this weekend working on this, and I think that it will become a popular site on the web. I did everything for this myself including web surfing to gather all of the sites, HTML authoring, and graphic design. There's even cool imagemaps! Have fun and happy surfing! My thanks to Jason Rush for the info and authoring a great site!
